Changing System Icons
Windows uses a special group of icons called system icons to display Main items on the
Start menu and other miscellaneous objects. The default icons displayed for open and
closed folders are examples of system icons.
To change a system icon:
- In the Icon pane, choose a new icon
using browsing or searching
for icons. You can choose an icon from the Favorite
Icons too.
- Click the System
button on the toolbar.
- Select the item and click the Set button
You can restore the default image for any system icon.
